This is a Dell Inspiron 15 screen replacement guide for the replacement process we'll need
the following tools: a small Phillips screwdriver and an A-xacto knife

Shut down the laptop

To begin turn the laptop off and disconnect the power cord. Close the laptop turn it over and
remove the battery

Remove the bezel

Start removing the bezel. Gently pull the inner edge of the bezel away from the screen go
around the perimeter and unsnapping the tabs underneath. Put the bezel aside

Remove 4 screws

Using a Phillips screwdriver remove four screws holding the LCD panel place. Put LCD on
the keyboard

Disconnect video cable

Using an A-xacto knife gently peel off the clear tape securing the video
connector. Open the video connectors bracket. Disconnect the video cable and discard
the old panel

Connect the new screen

Take the new LCD screen and place it on the keyboard. Using both hands reconnect the video
cable. Close the connectors bracket and secure it with tape. Caution! It is very important
not to force any of the connectors as well you must not twist or slant the connector when
plugging it in

Replace 4 screws

Make sure that the video cable sits in its place and lift the screen up and align it with the
mounting holes. Replace four Phillips screws one in each corner

Replace the bezel

Press firmly at the hinge cover and move around the perimeters
snapping the tabs back in place. Turn the laptop over and make sure that the bezel is
closed at the back. Press the power button and if the startup graphics appears the LCD
screen is installed correctly and we're done!
